Casino Dene

You don't need to leave town for excitement - not when the Lakeland area's premier entertainment destination is so close to home.

Casino Dene has slots, VLT, gaming tables, poker tournaments and live entertainment, as well as two places to hang out, enjoy a drink and have something delicious to eat: the River Ridge Café and the Casino Dene Lounge. The lounge serves up a fabulous breakfast from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and you won't want to miss the Prime Rib Dinner Special every Friday night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

There's a banquet hall and board room for special occasions like weddings and business meetings.

Even more exciting, it won't be long before construction on the new casino is complete!

There truly is a lot going on at this popular place!

On September 27, 2007 Casino Dene first opened its doors to the public and has continued to develop into one of the premier entertainment destinations in the Cold Lake area.

The casino started as a vision of the Denesuline (Chipewyan) Tribe of Cold Lake First Nations. Their goal was to provide an economic development plan to foster opportunity and advancement for the First Nation people, which turned into a reality through an agreement with the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission.

The Casino offers customers 10 table games with up to $1,000 maximum betting limits and 250 slot machines.

Since the start of this project, the Cold Lake First Nations have donated millions of dollars to various charities and non-profit organizations., including the Lakeland Humane Society.

Casino Dene is located on reserve lands of Cold Lake First Nations just 7 km south of the City of Cold Lake. It is located 300km Northeast of Edmonton, and there are several neighbouring communities within a 30-45 minute drive.
